New Business, Strategic Partnerships, and a Bold Vision for Rapid Diagnostics.
Microbira is proud to announce the official launch of Microbira India Pvt Ltd, our newly registered business in India. This marks a significant milestone in our mission. To bring rapid, reagent-free microbial diagnostics to healthcare providers, research institutions, and laboratories across the country.
India’s growing healthcare ecosystem presents both challenges and opportunities. Especially, in the area of infectious disease management and antimicrobial resistance (AMR). As a result, the introduction of MAAP-IR, our flagship platform powered by FTIR spectroscopy and artificial intelligence, aligns perfectly with national goals. It can enhance diagnostic capacity, improve public health outcomes and provide a One Health Solution.
We are also delighted to be partnering with two innovative Indian organisations—RapidDx and Sciinv Biosciences. These collaborations bring together deep local expertise, trusted networks, and a shared commitment to technological advancement. Through these partnerships, we aim to accelerate access to MAAP-IR across both urban and rural healthcare settings.
During our recent visit to Bangalore, Microbira India engaged with hospitals, labs, and diagnostic leaders to explore integration and pilot site opportunities. Our platform, MAAP-IR, provides species-level microbial identification in under 15 minutes, completely reagent-free. Furthermore, it improves laboratory workflow efficiency, making it an ideal solution for the Indian diagnostics landscape.
Additionally, we’re focused on building long-term, meaningful relationships within India’s clinical, veterinary, and research communities. We are especially interested in engaging with public health institutes, private diagnostic providers, and academic collaborators who are pioneering advances in microbiology.
